Well I found a very hold consumer model U-matic. I was searching for a Beta player when I called up an AV shop and asked them if they had any. the guy said yes but when I went down it wasnt a Beta but a U-Matic. this thing wasn't cube shaped. looked to be about early 1970s make, looked like a big woodpaneled VCR, about the size and shape of a record player. I was surprised I found one but didn't buy it since what I really want is a Betamax.
